This is the time machine: the history of dreams in physical unparalleled piece, artifacts of memories and wonderful dream about the Soviet Union, the Soviet Civilization and the Great Superpower which really existed. A long time ago my parents lived in the USSR, it was a dream state, a great nation and country, an almost realized utopia, a real scientific and social fiction embodied in everyday reality in many ways . The Soviet Human was practically one-step away from a happy life in an ideal society with a Bright Future ahead.
The visual information portrayed herein is the labels of matchboxes since the 1950s and 1960s issued in the USSR. This is an amazing, unique informational phenomenon, a concise informational message: a micro-poster endowed with aesthetic, educational, pedagogical, methodical, advertising, ideological and propaganda functions. The Soviet Union was a state that had no analogues in world history. The path was very difficult, dramatic, cruel: Revolution and Civil War, military communism, NEP, industrialization and collectivization, World War II , economic mobilization, economic recovery and then - sustainable development...
I'm glad that I could get to that wonderful period of history on my Time Machine, because it was probably the best time in the history of Soviet Russia: a period of sustainable development, prosperity, optimism and confidence, when cities and production were restored after World War II, amazing period of discoveries and outstanding technological achievements, population were rapidly growing with living standards were improved continuously, economy expanded with an incredible rate and the welfare of the country was steadily increased. That was really great time!
